The Guard (English Review)

"The Guard" tells the story of a Garda agent quite peculiar. Well, basically this man love to hire hookers, take some drugs and make non appropriate comments about people. Even though, believe when I say this guy is kind of endearing. Things get messy when they find out a group of drug dealers are plotting something...

Generally, the story is not so great, but everything changes when we have Brendan Gleeson playing Gerry, the unconventional policeman. Gleeson has become one of those great supporting actors in cinema who, whatever is his role, usually let audience more than satisfied. 

The movie has some other good actors such as Liam Cunningham and Mark Strong, and also has a comic and rude touch  I love (Brendan Gleeson's comments about Americans are hilarious). 

Summing up, it's a good film, entertaining, funny and with a great acting to enjoy.

THE BEST: Brendan Gleeson.

THE WORST: Don Cheadle.
